any you can find.
Physically,
financially and
practically there are
no intrinsic reasons
not to give it a go.
Bowling can give
significant mental and
physical benefits and,

as an essential social
lifeline. It offers a
level playing field
across ages and
genders and is a
simple skill which
takes just minutes to
learn, but a lifetime
to master. It’s
MESMERISING qualities
capture the
imagination and gives
people the time of
their life. Friendships for life are soon
made in the pavilion
and on the rinks of
our bowling club. So

INTER-COUNTIES FINAL Liz
Taylor of The Long Ashton Bowling Club is a member
of the triumphant The
Walker Cup is for a team of 8 playing in 2 rinks

Throughout
the bowling season members have been competing in
many closely fought matches leading to the winners
progressing to the Finals. The Finals were held
over 3 wonderful days and resulted in excellent
bowling by all the finalists. Congratulations to
the following winners and runners-up.
Long Ashton Men win the C
& D Britannia Windows Charity Cup Congratulations
to
Long Ashton Men bowlers whom made up five teams of
four, playing at five different venues against
different clubs. The teams secured the Charity Cup
by winning all five matches. C

There is a
raffle with
prizes donated
by the bowling
club members
and the green
will be open
for you to
experience the
pleasure of
bowling. All
necessary
equipment
provided free
for the day.
Free Introduction to Bowling ! Following the bowling club’s
successful Open Day
on 30th May 2021,
prospective new
members will be
taking the
opportunity of
Friday evening free
coaching sessions.
Every Friday evening
during the Summer,
the club holds its
Umbrella nights
which is a fun
competition open to
all its members.
During the evening,
the club welcomes
anybody young and
old, male or female
to try and see for
themselves what a
fabulous sport
bowling is. The
welcome afforded by
club members will be
most warm and
friendly with a keen
desire by any of the
members to give you
the full benefit of
their experience.
There is usually a
qualified coach
available to provide
more expert tuition
if needed. All the
equipment necessary
to play bowls is
provided and all we
ask is that shoes
worn are reasonably
flat for walking on
the green.

awareness of the opportunity
